A.I.M. (Accountability, Intentional Work, Motivation) sessions are a new support service at the Storrs Writing Center. Based on co-working and body-doubling strategies, A.I.M. sessions provide a structured environment for you to build momentum, keep on track, and make consistent progress on your writing tasks.
With A.I.M. sessions, you can:
- Schedule dedicated time to work on writing tasks,
- Set of build a consistent writing habit in a supportive environment,
- Keep your writing on track with structured peer accountability.
You can make an AIM appointment through our WCOnline portal.

Who are A.I.M. sessions for?

How do A.I.M. sessions work?
- A.I.M. sessions are 30 or 60-minute peer-supported work sessions. You’ll work independently alongside a peer tutor who is available for questions but will not directly guide your writing.
- Currently, the Storrs writing center offers in-person A.I.M. sessions only except by special request. If you’d like to access this kind of support virtually, Focusmate offers three free body doubling sessions a week.
