Note: To receive graduate credit for the seminar or to audit it, you must submit your registration before the semester's add/drop deadline.

Enrollment is by permission only. Fill out the registration form below to reserve a spot in the seminar. After registering, you will receive a permission number to enroll if taking the course for credit.

Filling out a registration form does not guarantee participation. Your participation is contingent on the current enrollment total (how many spots are left) and whether your goals align with the purpose of the seminar.

Register for the Graduate Seminar in Academic Writing

  • (e.g. MA, MS, PhD)
  • This course requires you to bring in one writing project already in process to revise during the five weeks of the seminar. You will need a complete draft at the time of application. This might be a draft of a dissertation chapter, a conference paper, an article, a grant proposal, etc.
  • The Writing Center will not share or distribute this work.

    • E.g., finish writing the discussion section, revise the literature review, cut 1000 words, edit for clarity and correctness.
    • These might include transitions between ideas, literature review conventions, finding time to write, etc.
