Sammy’s passion for literature and investment in our future generations has brought her to UConn to study English Education and minor in Cognitive Science. Over the last three years, she has devoted her time to understanding the world around her by traveling and serving communities through Community Outreach’s Alternative Break program. Originally from the small town of East Haddam, CT, Sammy loves being surrounded by so many people. After completing her masters degree through the Neag School of Education, Sammy intends to join the Peace Corps to soak up new cultures and perspectives. Reading, listening to music, and playing Magic the Gathering take up all of the free time. As a new member of the Writing Center crew, Sammy is extremely excited to be a part of such a wonderful service and to read the works of all the students she has yet to meet.
