We like to put more than brochures and a website in front of students when we invite them to the Writing Center, and so we have designed a 5-minute in-class presentation that describes what we do. At your request, one of our Writing Tutors is ready to visit your class, introduce the Writing Center and encourage your students to bring their drafts, ideas and questions to a session. Faculty can arrange a Tutor Talk by using this online form. (Tip: We suggest you time your Tutor Talk to two class sessions before the first draft of your first assignment is due.)

Submit this form to request a tutor talk in your class. Tutor talks will take place during the first 5-10 minutes of class unless you request another time. If you are teaching two sections, please submit two separate requests. Before you submit, PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK TO MAKE SURE THE LOCATION OF YOUR CLASS IS CORRECT. We are looking for the building and room number in which your class meets when you would like us to visit. If you later need to cancel the class meeting for which you've scheduled a tutor talk, please let us know as soon as possible.
