The Writing Center's 3-day retreats focus on providing accountability and support for participants to get their writing done. Maintaining momentum on your dissertation or graduate writing projects can be tough, but making a commitment to structured writing time can help. Writing in the presence of others brings a sense of solidarity and productivity that get you through the complex challenges of large projects. These sessions do not contain writing instruction, but instead offer a space to sit, concentrate, and write.

Cost: FREE for UConn graduate students (but you must register below)

  • First session: 10:00am-1:00pm

  • Lunch break and group check in: 1:00 pm – 2:00pm
