Full Day Writing Retreat

The Writing Center is offering six all day writing retreats for UConn Graduate Students and Undergraduates with the Honors Program from 10:00am to 5:00pm in room 1102, Homer Babbidge Library, Level 1.

The Writing Center's full day retreats focus on providing accountability and support for participants to get their writing done. Maintaining momentum on your  writing projects can be tough, but making a commitment to structured writing time can help. Writing in the presence of others brings a sense of solidarity and productivity that get you through the complex challenges of large projects. These sessions do not contain writing instruction, but instead offer a space to sit, concentrate, and write.

Cost: FREE for ALL UConn graduate students and undergraduates with the Honors Program

Activities 

  • Coffee and refreshments are provided throughout each day.
  • First session: 10:00am-1:00pm
    • When you arrive, please sign in and complete a quick goal setting exercise.
  • Lunch break and group check in: 1:00 pm – 2:00pm
    • Lunches are free.
  • Second session: 2:00pm-5:00pm
